The Superbowl isn’t just about athletic rigor or memorable half-time shows (except, of course, this year with Beyonce!) it has also become an avenue for giving back!
As one of the biggest, and most profitable, sporting events of the year, the Super Bowl is sure to be another record-breaking televised event. From celebrities like Alicia Keys and Beyoncé giving killer performances to the million-dollar commercials, how can we not live for the most watched American sports program all year?
After advertisers have spent beaucoup dollars on ads for the big game and we get ready to watch with friends and family, there are those who are giving their time and money to important causes locally in NOLA where the Superbowl will take place.
Enter Ladies Night Out. This event is hosted by The Leading Ladies Spectacular, an organization of athlete spouses who use their influence to give back. Their ‘Ladies Night Out’ event will raise money for The Metropolitan Center for Women and Children. The Center strives to break the cycle of domestic violence and sexual assault through empowerment, intervention and advocacy. In addition to the pro-sports husbands of the Leading Ladies, others such as NFLer Chris Culliver, and notable celebrity philanthropist Antoine Keane will be in attendance. We can’t think of a better way to kick-off Superbowl than raising money for a great cause!
We also can’t help but wish the Baltimore Ravens a great game; after all, 1/2 our team is from Baltimore! And of course, all hail Queen Bey for a spectacular performance!
