As you may have noticed this year we’re focusing a lot more on Millennials and the role they, we, play in society; especially our role in the community.
Today I happened upon a great article on CNN written by Nancy Keenan, President of NARAL Pro-choice America, on the societal impact millennials have on shifting policy and making their voices heard. While the article focused on the upcoming 40th Anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, the overarching message of the article emphasized the power our generation has on getting what we believe in using our collective influence.
If we got the President we wanted elected and we occupied Wall Street- and every other street in financial America, why wouldn’t we be able to stand up for the choice we believe in?
Our generation, the millennial generation, is a powerful one. As we recognize our power even more, I hope we begin to use it to see the change we want for our world. As Keenan says about us
They are educated, motivated and progressive. They will be able to sway elections, determine public policy and transform America.
Amen to that!
