Following Black Friday there’s Cyber Monday after Cyber Monday, there’s #GivingTuesday, yes you read that right. #GivingTuesday™ is a campaign to create a national day of giving at the start of the annual holiday season. It celebrates and encourages charitable activities that support nonprofit organizations.(source)
You can’t even be mad that there’s yet another day of spending associated with the Black Friday hype because well…it’s giving. *smile*
So what does this mean for you? It means after you’ve gotten discount after discount for your family and friends’ gifts, you can use your savings to give a gift to an organization that means something to you.

New York Cares: programs and resources for needy NYers through the volunteer work of New Yorkers. Right now Sandy relief efforts need your donations!
Black Benefactors: It’s their 5th Anniversary!… A giving circle comprised of individuals, businesses and organizations dedicated to addressing the societal ills facing the African American community in the DC region.
First Book DC – provides new books to children in need. The DC chapter is helping to increase literacy rates in areas where poverty levels are at an all time high. Donate $10 and that equals 4 books!
