[Wednesday’s Jump Off] Be Fearless & Win Grant Funding From The Case Foundation!

A quick peek over at Black Gives Back and we find out just for being fearless social entrepreneurs and innovators you can win a portion of $650,000 in grant funding from The Case Foundation.  Ummm, yes please!

According to Black Gives Back and its conversation with Michael D. Smith, Senior VP of Social Innovation at the Case Foundation:

After an open nomination process, a “Fearless Academy” of judges will award the top 10 submissions $10,000 grants and the next 10, $1,000 grants. All projects will receive a $25,000 software grant from Microsoft and a $100 REI gift card. The public will then have the opportunity to vote on their favorite fearless projects to determine which ones will receive an additional $10,000 grant, an REI Adventure Trip to Bryce Canyon and more. Those voting will be eligible for prizes such as a $500 Network for Good gift card.

Smith shared with BlackGivesBack that the foundation is taking a more fearless approach to philanthropy, as challenges facing society are getting more complex. He hopes that the campaign will help the nominees get lifted up by their communities, help to share their stories, and that people will use the “Be Fearless” resources and discussion guide to host community conversations and move them from being do gooders to changemakers. You can begin by taking the “Be Fearless” pledge – over 7,000 people have signed on.

From now until October 15th, you can nominate yourself or someone you know at: http://befearless.casefoundation.org/finding-fearless.

What are you waiting for?! Get cracking! Only the first 1,000 applicants will be accepted.
