Birthday Gifts

It’s my birthday!!!! Yes, my real actual day of birth! I’m so excited I don’t know what to do. You’d think I’d be used to this by now. I mean it does happen every year! ๐Ÿ™‚

They say birthdays are a time to be thankful for another year- another chance to live your best life. This is true. It’s also assumed that you want really awesome gifts for your big day. This is also true. Well this year it just so happens I have both. I have a reason to be thankful AND I have the best gifts ever. What are they you ask?? Drumroll…..YOU! Yes, you read that right, Y-O-U. I’m taking today to say thank you to the best gifts I could have asked for: my Friends of Ebonie donors, clients and yes, even supporter-friends.

This year has been full of wonderful accomplishments, many of which I would not be able to celebrate had it not been for the continued support of those who care so much about the world around them. So today, I simply say thank you.

Thank you for your emails. Thank you for your donations. Thank you for your time and energy. Thank you for listening. Thank you for reading. Thank you for trusting me with your mission.

Thank you for being you.

Later this evening I’ll be sharing more acknowledgements at my first ever client & donor appreciation reception, appropriately named: The Friends of Ebonie Regifting Reception!!! I’m regifting the love and generosity given through Friends of Ebonie. It’s probably the one time regifting isn’t tacky. Lol.

Oh, I’m not done! What would a Friends of Ebonie affair be without giving back?! In addition to saying thank you, I’m also sharing the giving with my favorite NYC charity, New York Cares! This evening is also a fundraiser whereby B. Smith’s Restaurant is generously donating 20% of the bar proceeds to New York Cares. How awesome is my birthday?!

It may be my birthday but really it’s my thankful day and I’m loving it.

Thank you again- and again!
